Dennis is an amazing voice actor. He understands and executes what his clients want at any given time. His voice is not just unique like other voice actors. It’s rather extraordinary but it amazingly serves game characters and TV/Radio commercials.
When one envisions the early Antarctic explorers like Scott, Shackleton, Amundsen and Mawson, one thinks of brave, rugged men facing a dauntless task of science, discovery and exploration in the coldest, most hostile place on earth. The narration for a book about the life-and-death decisions these explorers made on the ice required a special voice. I considered many voice-over actors and decided upon Dennis for a variety of reasons: In addition to having the most amazing voice, Dennis had superb references, he had worked on similar adventure books, and he had a professionalism that exceeded all others. Steinburg is an international thriller with locations all over the world. A larger project @ 125,000 words, we felt it would be demanding for a narrator as it required performing a range of dialects from all over western Europe. We found Dennis and after a few rounds of discussion felt he could carry the narrative. He was particularly oriented to the German and Jewish dialects which anchored the work. The effort was considerably eased by Dennis’ work ethic, experience and high quality audio output and clearly enhanced by the pairing of the right talent with the right project.
